About the Job
The Oswego County District Attorney’s Office has immediate openings for experienced law enforcement professionals to perform highly specialized and confidential criminal investigative work conducted by the District Attorney’s Office for the purpose of assembling and providing evidence for preliminary hearings, Grand Jury and trial court cases.  
 
Qualifications:  
  • Five (5) years of experience as a police officer appointed in accordance with Section 58 of the NYS Civil Service Law.  
  • Preferred experience as a criminal investigator and evidence custodian.  
  • Specialized training in homicide investigation, computer crime investigation, child sexual abuse investigation and accounting practice/business crime investigation is a plus. 
  • Candidates must have successfully completed the basic course for Police Officers approved by the Municipal Police Training Council, or its equivalent, and possess a NYS Driver’s License.    
  • Candidates must be legal residents of Oswego County.
 
Salary: $59,894 to $80,668 per year.
