About the Job
The Oswego County Highway Department has an immediate opening for a Highway Engineer to perform professional engineering work involving responsibility for the design, maintenance and repair of County highways and roads.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a master’s degree in civil engineering and five (5) years of engineering experience which shall have included bridge and highway design and construction.; OR 
  • bachelor's degree in civil engineering and six (6) years of experience as listed above. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: NYS license as a professional engineer.

Salary Range: $138,771 to $162,558 per year plus competitive benefit package including: health, vision, dental and life insurance; NYS Retirement; and Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Salary negotiable to be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
